Andrei Kostitsyn is earning more than $3 million and will become an unrestricted free agent July 1. He's struggled recently and has 12 goals and 24 points in 53 games this season.
The Kostitsyn brothers are from Belarus played together with Montreal from 2007 to 2010. The Predators expect Andre Kostitsyn to meet the team for its game at Carolina on Tuesday.
The conditional pick the Canadiens sent to the Predators is one they acquired in the Hal Gill trade last week.
