Canadiens sign Blake Geoffrion to new contract |


MONTREAL (AP) -- The Montreal Canadiens have signed Blake Geoffrion to a one-year, two-way contract.
The grandson of Hall of Famer Bernie `Boom Boom" Geoffrion, the forward had two goals and three assists in 35 games with Montreal and Nashville last season.
The Canadiens acquired the 24-year-old Geoffrion from Nashville for defenseman Hal Gill.
The announcement was made Monday by general manager Marc Bergevin.
