Funky Munky Mama wins Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) - Funky Munky Mama, the 3-2 favorite, led all the way on Thursday at Aqueduct, beating Superior Sarah by three quarters of a length in the $54,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares bred in New York.

Apprentice Irad Ortiz, Jr. rode for trainer Gary Gullo as the 4-year-old improved to 3 for 12. The time was 1:11.85 for six furlongs over the fast track.

Funky Munky Mama paid $5, $3.40 and $2.80. Superior Sarah returned $4.20 and $3.60 while Eden Is Burning paid $6.60 to show.
