Home Journey wins Betfair Hollywood Park feature

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Home Journey romped to an 81/4-length victory in the $49,400 feature for California-breds at Betfair Hollywood Park on Friday.

Ridden by Aaron Gryder, Home Journey ran 61/2 furlongs on Cushion Track in 1:17.56 and paid $7.40, $4.20 and $2.80 as the 5-2 favorite.

Akiss Forarose returned $4.40 and $2.60, while Sacred Delight was another three-quarters of a length back in third and paid $3 to show.

Trainer John Sadler earned his 2,000th victory in North America when Rooster City won the first race on the card. Joe Talamo guided Rooster City to a half-length victory, the first of three on the card for Sadler. He also won the sixth with Distort This and the eighth with Candy Trophy.

Martin Garcia rode three winners on the card.
