Saginaw wins the Big A's Fourstars Allstar Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) - Saginaw won again for trainer and co-owner David Jacobson, holding off Friend Or Foe by three quarters of a length on Sunday in the $76,000 Fourstars Allstar Stakes for New York breds at Aqueduct.

A 6-year-old gelding, Saginaw improved to 8 for 10 since being claimed by Jacobson for $30,000 in March.

Ramon Dominguez was aboard as Saginaw ran the one mile in 1:35.62 on the fast track, paying $3.20 and $2.10. Friend Or Foe returned $2.70.

Johannesburg Smile was third followed by Beautyinthepulpit. There was no show wagering on the four-horse race.
