ALTENBERG, Germany (AP) - Martins Dukurs of Latvia notched his 15th skeleton World Cup win Friday to remain unbeaten in more than a year and successfully defended his European title.

The two-run race also counted as the European championship. Dukurs is also the world champion and last season's overall World Cup winner. He last lost a race on Dec. 17, 2010.

Older brother Tomass Dukurs was second, more than a second behind. Germany's Alexander Kroekel came in third.

Martins Dukurs also leads his brother in the overall standings halfway through the eight-race season.
