MONTPELLIER, France (AP) -- Russia finished off the European gymnastics championships in style Sunday with four more medals, including golds on high bar and still rings.

A day after being edged by Britain in the team competition, Aleksandr Balandin won the title on still rings while Emin Garibov took the gold on high bar. Denis Ablyazin won bronzes on both vault and still rings. No other country won more than two medals in the event finals.

Britain added to its medal haul with Louis Smith's silver on pommel horse. The reigning Olympic and world bronze medalist's rivalry with world champion Krisztian Berki has become a highlight of the men's competition, and their latest showdown didn't disappoint. Both did routines with 6.9 start values but Berki was just a bit cleaner, scoring 15.958 and beating Smith out for the gold by less than two-tenths of a point.

Germany salvaged what had been a rough meet with Marcel Nguyen's gold on parallel bars.

Eleftherios Kosmidis of Greece won the title on floor and Romania's Flavius Koczi claimed gold on vault.
