AP Interview: Coe says Olympic costs on track |

DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) - Sebastian Coe, the chairman of the London Olympic organizing committee, insists the cost of staging the games in just 6 months remains within budget.
He also says ticketing arrangements are on track, despite recent problems.
In an interview with The Associated Press here in the Alpine resort on Thursday, the double Olympic champion said costs are within budget so far and that the next tranche of tickets will go on sale in April.
Earlier this month, the London organizers had to close a ticket resale website after the computer systems were unable to cope with the volume of traffic.
Coe says three-quarters of the sports venues have already been properly tested and that the run-up to the start of the games on July 27 will be dominated by making sure that things run smoothly on the night.
