LONDON (AP) - Just months after successfully running the London Games, Sebastian Coe is moving into another high-profile Olympic job.

The two-time Olympic middle-distance champion will become chairman of the British Olympic Association after his only challenger withdrew Tuesday.

Richard Leman, head of Britain's field hockey federation, said he was pulling out in favor of "the person who led the organization and delivery of what is widely regarded as the most successful Olympic and Paralympic Games in history.''

The BOA will officially elect Coe on Nov. 7. He will replace Colin Moynihan, who is stepping down after seven years as chairman.

Coe is also a vice president of the International Association of Athletics Federations.
