Belskus: IndyCar moving on, bullish about future
It's business as usual for the IndyCar Series, which is staying the course set by former CEO Randy Bernard.
The series will be led for now by Jeff Belskus, head of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Belskus reiterated Thursday that IndyCar is not for sale and the Hulman-George family believes in the future of the series.
Belskus spoke at length for the first time since Bernard's three-year run as CEO came to an end following Sunday night's emergency meeting of the IMS board. The move was sharply criticized by Roger Penske and fans.
Asked if there was anything that could have been done differently over the last week, Belskus said: "I wish I could have gotten more sleep.''
