COLOGNE, Germany (AP) -- Cologne's management say they have settled their differences with Lukas Podolski after the star forward lashed out at club officials for failing to keep their promise to build a competitive team.

Podolski and his agent met with Cologne's management on Monday, with the two sides saying that all issues had been resolved. Podolski was told to support a charity project.

The Germany striker, who is currently out with a foot injury, had criticized the club in a newspaper interview. His contract runs out at the end of the season and there are signs he wants to leave.

The club is 12th in the Bundesliga after losing to Hamburg 1-0 at home on Sunday.
