BREMEN, Germany (AP) -- Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese will leave Werder Bremen at the end of the season after seven years with the Bundesliga club.

Wiese told club officials he would not be extending his contract when it expires at the end of the season. He did not say where he was going but was quoted in German media saying he had "several inquiries'' from abroad.

Wiese joined Werder in 2005 from Kaiserslautern. He won the German Cup with Werder in 2009 and played the final of the UEFA Cup that year.

He is expected to be Germany's reserve goalkeeper at the upcoming European Championship.
