Valencia's Canales out 6 months

VALENCIA, Spain (AP) -- Valencia says Sergio Canales has re-injured a ligament in his right knee and will be sidelined for another six months.

Canales tore a ligament in Thursday's second leg of the Europa League semifinals as his team was eliminated by Atletico Madrid. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder sustained a similar injury in October and only recently returned to action.

Valencia is third in the Spanish league with four games left.
