Farfan opts to stay with Schalke
GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) -- Peru international Jefferson Farfan is staying with Schalke.
The Bundesliga club says Farfan has extended his current contract by four years to the end of June 2016.
Schalke secured automatic qualification for next season's Champions League on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Hertha Berlin.
Farfan has scored 24 goals in 114 league appearances for Schalke since joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2008.
