DORTMUND, Germany (AP) -- Striker Lucas Barrios is leaving Bundesliga champion Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season to join Guangzhou Evergrande on a four-year contract.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says it is letting Barrios go "in recognition of his past services'' and is meeting his desire to play regularly.

The Paraguay striker has 39 goals in 82 games for Dortmund. His 16 goals last season helped Dortmund win the first of its two consecutive titles.

An injury at the start of this season allowed Robert Lewandowski to take his place and Barrios became a reserve.
