TUKWILA, Wash. (AP) -- Seattle Sounders defender Zach Scott has been suspended for one game and fined after a hard tackle on FC Dallas midfielder Fabian Castillo.

Scott's suspension was handed down on Friday. He will serve his punishment on Saturday when the Sounders face Real Salt Lake with first place in the Western Conference at stake.

Scott was given a yellow card for his hard tackle on Castillo near the sideline in the 75th minute of Seattle's 2-0 win on Wednesday night. He's the second Seattle defender to face suspension this week after Leo Gonzalez was suspended for the Dallas match after stepping on the leg of a Philadelphia player last Saturday.
