SAO PAULO (AP) -- Paulo Henrique Ganso will miss Brazil's U.S. exhibition tour after planned arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

The operation is scheduled for Friday, ruling the Santos player out of matches against the United States on May 30 at Landover, Md., Mexico on June 3 at Arlington, Texas, and Argentina on June 9 at East Rutherford, N.J.

Brazil coach Mano Menezes has already lost Barcelona defender Daniel Alves because of a broken collarbone.

Ganso and Santos teammates Neymar and Rafael had already been excused from Brazil's exhibition match against Denmark on Saturday because the Brazilian club plays against Velez Sarsfield in the Copa Libertadores two days earlier.
