Wolfsburg extends Magath's contract to 2015 |

WOLFSBURG, Germany (AP) -- Bundesliga club Wolfsburg has extended coach Felix Magath's contract by two years until June 2015.
Magath coached Wolfsburg to its first-ever Bundesliga title in 2009 before leaving for Schalke. He returned just before the end of the 2010-11 season, when Wolfsburg narrowly avoided relegation.
This season, Wolfsburg finished eighth in the 18-team top division, falling a few points short of a Europa League place.
Wolfsburg supervisory board chairman Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz said on Tuesday the club was "on the right path'' under Magath and the contract extension was an "expression of our confidence.''
