Ibrahimovic out for PSG match with foot injury

PARIS (AP) -- Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss Paris Saint-Germain's French league match at Ajaccio on Sunday after failing to recover from a right foot injury.

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti said Saturday that Ibrahimovic had picked up the injury in last week's season opener against Lorient, which ended 2-2 after the Swede scored two goals to salvage a draw.

Ibrahimovic, who joined last month from AC Milan for a reported ?20 million ($25 million), is a major loss for Sunday's game.

After spending more than $300 million on top players over the past two offseasons, big things are expected from PSG. The draw at home to Lorient was a disappointment.

"The match against Lorient showed we have to work harder on our timing and equilibrium,'' Ancelotti said.
