BERLIN (AP) -- Hannover substitute Adrian Nikci scored a late goal three minutes into his Bundesliga debut to earn his side a 2-2 draw with Schalke on Sunday.

Brazilian defender Felipe opened the scoring in the 43rd minute for Hannover, before last season's leading scorer Klaas-Jan Huntelaar drew the visitors level with a great individual effort in the 52nd.

Lewis Holtby put Schalke ahead 12 minutes later, only for Nikci - the Swiss midfielder who had just replaced the injured Felipe - to score with his first touch of the ball with 10 minutes remaining.

Defending champion Borussia Dortmund opened the season with a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen on Friday, while Bayern Munich won 3-0 at promoted Greuther Fuerth.
