Braga advances to Champions League group stage |


LONDON (AP) -- Portuguese club Braga advanced to the lucrative group stage of the Champions League on Tuesday by beating Serie A team Udinese in a penalty shootout.
Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Portugal, the teams drew 1-1 again after Pablo Armero's 25th-minute header for the hosts was canceled out by Ruben Micael's 72nd-minute equalizer. Micael also scored the decisive spot kick to give Braga a 5-4 shootout victory.
Elsewhere, Anderlecht scored two late goals to win 2-0 against AEL Limassol and go through 3-2 on aggregate. Dinamo Zagreb won 1-0 in Maribor to seal a 3-1 series victory.
BATE Borisov drew 1-1 at Hapoel Kiryat Shmona to advance 3-1, and Malaga drew 0-0 at Panathinaikos to progress 2-0 on aggregate.
