Barca's Puyol to miss 4-6 weeks with injured leg
BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Barcelona says defender Carles Puyol will be sidelined for four to six weeks with a leg injury.
The 34-year-old team captain pulled a ligament in his left knee and had to be substituted in Barcelona's 4-1 win at Getafe on Saturday.
The club says he will undergo more tests on Sunday.
After rarely missing action early in his career, Puyol has been hit by injuries in the past two seasons and missed out on Spain's European championship defense this summer after requiring surgery on his right knee.
Barcelona was already without midfielder Andres Iniesta and forward Alexis Sanchez for its Champions League opener against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday.
