MUNICH (AP) -- Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is hoping to be fit to face Valencia in the Champions League on Wednesday. Teammate Arjen Robben has "to wait and see.''

Both players missed Bayern's 3-1 Bundesliga win over Mainz with minor injuries on Saturday, but came through team training on Monday.

Robben says he does not want to take any risks with a troublesome lower back injury with "so many important games coming up.'' However, the Dutchman says his recovery "looks good.''

Ribery was more upbeat about playing in the Group F opener after overcoming muscular problems. The Frenchman told Bayern's website "I think I'll be able to play on Wednesday.''

Bayern has won its first five competitive matches of the season, including three Bundesliga games.
