Wilshere plays 1st minutes in 14 months |

WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) -- After 14 months out injured, England midfielder Jack Wilshere returned to action Monday by playing more than hour for Arsenal in a reserve-team match at West Bromwich Albion.
Wilshere was substituted after 62 minutes at the Hawthorns but appeared to come through unscathed, raising hopes of a return to the first team.
The 20-year-old midfielder was sidelined last season with ankle, foot and heel injuries, forcing him to miss the European Championship. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has vowed to ease him back to competitive action.
Wilshere is widely seen as England's best young talent and has made five appearances for the national team.
