EPL Roundup: Giroud, Arsenal, down West Ham |

LONDON (AP) -- France striker Olivier Giroud scored his first Premier League goal as Arsenal came from behind to beat West Ham 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.
After their unbeaten start to the season was ended by Chelsea last weekend, the Gunners showed great character at Upton Park to recover from conceding an early goal to Mohamed Diame.
Giroud, who joined in the offseason from Montpellier, netted from close range just before halftime. Substitute Theo Walcott put Arsenal in front after the break and Santi Cazorla later scored from 25 yards.
In a further blow for West Ham, forward Ricardo Vaz Te is facing three months out after dislocating his shoulder in the match.
LONDON (AP) -- Chelsea extended its Premier League lead with a 4-1 victory over Norwich on Saturday while defending champion Manchester City climbed to second place by beating Sunderland 3-0.
Chelsea rallied after Grant Holt scored for Norwich in the 11th minute. Fernando Torres, Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard scored before halftime and Branislav Ivanovic added a late goal.
Chelsea leads the league by four points and is off to its best start since the 2005-06 season. City rose to second after goals from Aleksandar Kolarov, Sergio Aguero and James Milner.
Everton slipped to third after being held to a 2-2 draw by Wigan. West Bromwich Albion maintained its strong start with a 3-2 victory over last-place Queens Park Rangers.
MANCHESTER, England (AP) -- Manchester City turned on the style Saturday and kept a clean sheet for the first time in its Premier League title defense, easing to a 3-0 victory over Sunderland.
Aleksandar Kolarov scored from a free kick after five minutes at the Etihad Stadium, and Sergio Aguero and James Milner added goals in the second half to secure a convincing win that reflected City's dominance.
By ending Sunderland's unbeaten start, City maintained its own and won consecutive league matches for the first time this season.
"We played very well and took no risks,'' City manager Roberto Mancini told Sky Sports television. "To score three goals I am happy for us today ... we are disappointed defensively this season but we are happy with the clean sheet.''
WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) -- Winless Queens Park Rangers remains last in the Premier League with only two points out of a possible 21 following a 3-2 loss at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Goals from James Morrison in the fifth minute, Zoltan Gera in the 22nd and Youssouf Mulumbu in the 85th gave West Brom its fourth league win of the season as the Baggies provisionally moved to fourth in the standings and Champions League spots.
Adel Taarabt cut West Brom's lead to 2-1 in the 35th, while Esteban Granero scored in injury time for QPR.
The pressure is mounting on QPR manager Mark Hughes after signing several players in the offseason. Hughes took over from Neil Warnock in January with the club finishing in 17th place.
WIGAN, England (AP) -- Leighton Baines converted a penalty kick in the 88th minute as Everton salvaged a point in its 2-2 draw at Wigan in the Premier League on Saturday.
Baines kept his nerve after Kevin Mirallas was pulled down by Maynor Figueroa at the DW Stadium.
Chasing its first league win of the season, Wigan went ahead in the 10th through Arouna Kone before Nikica Jelavic's header brought Everton level less than a minute later. Franco Di Santo put Wigan ahead again in the 23rd.
Wigan almost won it in stoppage time when Shaun Maloney's deflected shot looped over goalkeeper Tim Howard, only to land on the roof of the net.
Everton dropped a place to third with 14 points from seven games, while Wigan remains narrowly above the relegation zone.
