BERLIN (AP) -- Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp made a string of saves to salvage a 1-1 draw at home to Greuther Fuerth in the Bundesliga on Friday.

Frankfurt got off to a great start when Alexander Meier opened the scoring in the first minute. Fuerth goalkeeper Max Gruen cut out Sebastian Rode's cross, but the rebound fell to Meier, who sidestepped three defenders before dispatching his shot across goal and inside the far post.

"A game cannot start any worse,'' said Fuerth coach Mike Bueskens. "But how the team then came back and created chances, I take my hat off to that.''

Fuerth equalized on a counterattack in the 53rd minute, when Zoltan Stieber coolly lifted the ball over Trapp to score.

The goal gave the visitors confidence to push forward, and Frankfurt had Trapp to thank for maintaining the team's unbeaten record at home so far this season.

"In the end we have to be happy with the point. It was a very difficult game,'' said Trapp, who twice denied Gerald Asamoah in one-on-one situations, before saving from Stephan Fuerstner and then Sercan Sararer late in the game.

League leader Bayern Munich visits Hamburger SV on Saturday, when defending champion Borussia Dortmund hosts Stuttgart, and Schalke visits Hoffenheim.
