England, Norwich keeper Ruddy out for 3 months
NORWICH, England (AP) -- Back-up England goalkeeper John Ruddy says he will be out for up to three months because of a thigh injury.
The Norwich `keeper was forced off with the problem in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Everton in the Premier League.
Ruddy confirmed on Twitter the expected length of his absence, adding that he will be undergoing surgery on Saturday.
Ruddy has established himself as the second-choice goalkeeper with England, behind Joe Hart, but could now miss the friendly against Brazil at Wembley Stadium on Feb. 6.
