MUNICH (AP) -Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes says his players can cope with expected freezing conditions at Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga.

Heynckes says there is "no room'' in the calendar to postpone Saturday's game, when temperatures are expected to drop well below freezing as Germany is gripped by a severe cold spell.

The Bayern coach says "you can still play football at minus 15 degrees (5 degrees Fahrenheit).''

Heynckes has urged his players to "close your eyes and get through it. We're men after all.''

Brazilian defender Breno will not travel with the squad due to a minor knee problem, and Ukraine midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk is likely to fill in at right back for the suspended Rafinha.

Heynckes says "the squad is there to compensate for the absences.''
