MANCHESTER, England (AP) -Manchester United defender Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez were involved in a confrontation during a pre-match handshake in their first meeting since the Liverpool forward was banned for eight matches for racially abusing Evra in October.

Suarez refused to shake hands with the France defender when the lineups crossed prior to the return game at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Evra tried to pull back the arm of Suarez as the Uruguay international moved to shake hands with David De Gea, who was stood next to Evra.

Suarez refused to turn back toward Evra, who throw his left arm up in disgust.
