SYDNEY (AP) -The Perth Glory advanced to the A-League grand final against the Brisbane Roar, beating the Central Coast Mariners 5-3 on penalties Saturday after the teams were level 1-1 after extra time.

Adam Kwasnik gave the Mariners a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute but league-leading scorer Shane Smeltz leveled for the Glory two minutes later. Veteran Dutch defender Patrick Zwaanswijk missed a second-half penalty for the Mariners.

Jacob Burns clinched the match for the Glory after the Mariners' Michael McGlinchey fired a shot over the bar for the home side with the fourth spot kick in the penalty shootout.

Defending champions Brisbane will host the grand final on April 22. The Roar beat the Mariners in a two-leg major semifinal.
