SAO PAULO (AP) -World Cup-winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari says two Asian nations have asked him to consider coaching them at the 2014 tournament.

Scolari, who led Brazil to the 2002 title, didn't disclose the countries on Monday and says no official offers were made. He says they only wanted to see if he would be available.

The 63-year-old Brazilian says he hasn't decided what to do after his contract with Palmeiras expires at the end of 2012. But he has said before that he would like to end his career by coaching a national team at the World Cup in two years' time.

Scolari, who has also coached Portugal and Chelsea, made his comments in an interview to ESPN Brasil.
