GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -Scottish champion Celtic eased to a 3-0 win over Rangers on Sunday, stretching its lead over its city rival to 21 points.

Defender Charlie Mulgrew and midfielder Kris Commons put the home side 2-0 up by halftime before striker Gary Hooper completed a straightforward victory with a fiercely driven shot.

Mulgrew headed unmarked past goalkeeper Allan McGregor in the 17th and Commons chipped the advancing goalkeeper eight minutes later. McGregor saved Joe Ledley's 20-yard volley before Hooper scored with a rising shot from Georgios Samaras' pass.

Hibernian was at St. Mirren in Sunday's other game.
