Toluca wins 5th straight to stay top in Mexico

MEXICO CITY (AP) -Edgar Benitez scored an injury-time winner to give Toluca a 1-0 win against Pachuca on Sunday, the club's fifth straight victory to open Mexico's first-division season.

The victory moved Toluca five points clear at the top of the league. Leon is second after drawing 1-1 against Cruz Azul on Friday, when Tijuana defeated Tigres 2-1 to improve to third place.

In other results: America won 4-0 against Queretaro, Morelia overcame Puebla 3-0, Pumas defeated Santos Laguna 2-1, Monterrey and Atlante drew 1-1, Chivas beat San Luis 1-0 and Atlas drew 1-1 with Jaguares.
