LONDON (AP) -Resurgent Tottenham won its fourth straight Premier League match on Sunday, beating Aston Villa 2-0 with goals from Steven Caulker in the 58th minute and Aaron Lennon in the 67th.

Tottenham moves just outside the Champions League spots with 14 points from seven games and remains unbeaten in all competitions since losing on the first day of the season.

Villa dropped one place to 16th.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas opted for France captain Hugo Lloris in goal ahead of Brad Friedel at White Hart Lane - the first time in more than eight years that the 41-year-old American goalkeeper has been dropped from the starting lineup for a Premier League game.
