Lima guides Benfica to 3-0 win at Gil Vicente

LISBON, Portugal (AP) -Lima scored one and set up another to guide Benfica to a 3-0 win at Gil Vicente on Saturday, provisionally lifting the team three points ahead of FC Porto at the top of the Portuguese standings.

Brazilian striker Lima grabbed Benfica the early lead with a headed goal just two minutes in.

Lima then passed for Benfica left back Luisinho to double the margin in the 27th, and Andres Gomes capped the victory in first-half added time.

Porto can remain level with Benfica with a victory at Estoril on Sunday.

Struggling Sporting Lisbon hosts Academica on Monday.
