BERLIN (AP) -Frank Ribery's first-half strike and David Alaba's well-struck penalty were enough for Bayern Munich to overcome Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 at home Saturday for the club's 10th Bundesliga win in 11 games.

Ribery struck just before the interval, when Javi Martinez sprung the offside trap to set the Frenchman up, while Alaba took his chance to secure the win in the 77th minute after Vadim Demidov was adjudged to have brought down Bastian Schweinsteiger. Television replays showed the Bayern midfielder went down under minimal contact.

Second-placed Schalke came from behind to beat Werder Bremen 2-1 and stay seven points behind Bayern.

Defending champion Borussia Dortmund grafted for a 3-1 win at Augsburg.

Fortuna Duesseldorf drew 1-1 at home with Hoffenheim, while 10-man Hamburger SV battled to a 0-0 draw at Freiburg.
