MILAN (AP) -Palermo beat fellow strugglers Sampdoria 2-0 on Sunday with teenager Paulo Dybala notching his first goals in Serie A.

Dybala had been frustrated several times in the first half as Palermo dominated and the 18-year-old forward finally broke the deadlock seven minutes after the break.

Franco Brienza bamboozled the Samp defense with a series of feints before slotting the ball through for Dybala to fire a stunning strike past Sergio Romero.

Dybala doubled his tally when he was set up again on the edge of the area by Brienza. He swiveled and unleashed a perfectly placed shot into the far corner.

The young Argentinian was given a standing ovation when he was substituted in stoppage time.

The loss is Sampdoria's seventh successive defeat and could spell the end for coach Ciro Ferrara's brief time in charge.
