LISBON, Portugal (AP) - Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Portugal's exhibition game at Gabon on Wednesday after sustaining a gash over his left eye while playing for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo missed the second half of his club's league match against Levante on Sunday after defender David Navarro's elbow cut the Portugal captain. Madrid coach Jose Mourinho said his star forward temporarily lost his sight.

The Portuguese Football Federation said in a statement on Monday that Ronaldo will miss the trip to Libreville.

Defender Joao Pereira and midfielder Miguel Veloso are also out for medical reasons, the federation said. Coach Paulo Bento called up Hugo Viana and Ruben Ferreira.
