BRISBANE, Australia (AP) -Former Juventus and Italy forward Alessandro Del Piero scored both of his team's goals but his effort couldn't prevent Sydney FC from losing its fifth of seven A-League matches to start the season on Friday.

The defending champion Brisbane Roar led 3-1 at halftime, and Del Piero's second goal cut the deficit to one in the 49th minute. But Besart Berisha's 57th-minute goal sealed Brisbane's 4-2 win.

Del Piero received a yellow card in the 54th.

The victory moved the Roar out of last place and ahead of Sydney into eighth in the 10-team league.

Last week, Ian Crook resigned as Sydney coach. He was replaced by former assistant Steve Corica on an interim basis.
