Qatar Airways to sponsor Barcelona shirts

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -Barcelona says its team shirts will carry an advertisement for Qatar Airways for the next two seasons.

The Spanish football club says the airline will replace Qatar Foundation on its shirt in accordance to the five-season deal it signed with Qatar Sports Investments in 2010 that allowed for a change in the sponsor after the third season.

Barcelona makes ?30 million ($38 million) a season from the deal, the first in the history of the club that had been one of the few teams not to sell advertising on its shirts.
