Europa League match in Israel is postponed

BILBAO, Spain (AP) - Athletic Bilbao says its Europa League match in Israel against Hapoel Kiryat Shmona has been postponed.

Bilbao was scheduled to fly to Israel on Wednesday for Thursday's match in Haifa.

The Spanish club published a brief statement on its website announcing the postponement. It's not clear when or where the match could be rearranged.

UEFA has been monitoring the security situation since an Israeli offensive in Gaza began last week.
