PARIS (AP) -Marseille was again let down by its poor home form as it lost 3-0 to visiting Lorient on Sunday and missed the chance to pressure French leader Lyon ahead of its match away to bitter rival Saint-Etienne.

Marseille, which lost 4-1 at home to Lyon two weeks ago, dropped down to third place behind Paris Saint-Germain, which has the same number of points but a vastly better goal difference.

A win at Saint-Etienne would put Lyon five points clear at the top.

Lorient moved up to eighth place, thanks to a first-half penalty from striker Jeremie Aliadiere and goals from winger Benjamin Corgnet and forward Kevin Monnet-Paquet in the second half.

Earlier, Bordeaux missed a chance to break into the top five when it drew 0-0 at struggling Reims.
