KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - Second-seeded Juan Monaco of Argentina beat Vasek Pospisil of Canada 6-3, 6-4 to book the first slot in the Malaysian Open semifinals on Friday.
"He is a great young player and he played well but I won the important points,'' Monaco said.
He will next face either Asia's top-ranked player, Kei Nishikori of Japan, or 2009 Malaysian Open champion Nikolay Davydenko.
