BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) - Former top-ranked doubles player Gisela Dulko of Argentina has retired from tennis, finishing her career with four singles titles and 17 in doubles.

The 27-year-old Dulko said in a statement on her website that she was retiring because she no longer had "the same drive'' and is not willing to make "the sacrifices'' to compete on the WTA circuit.

Dulko rose to No. 1 in the doubles rankings following a win at the WTA Championships in 2010 with partner Flavia Pennetta of Italy. They were selected the WTA doubles team of the year in 2010.

Dulko married Argentine soccer player Fernando Gago last year in Buenos Aires. She finished with total prize money of $4.2 million.
