Women's champ Firehiwot Dado out of NYC Marathon |

NEW YORK (AP) - Women's champion Firehiwot Dado of Ethiopia has withdrawn from this year's New York City Marathon.
Race organizers said Monday she had been unable to train because of an infected blister.
Last year, Dado trailed Mary Keitany by nearly 2 1/2 minutes at the 15-mile mark but came from behind to win her first major marathon title.
The women's field for the Nov. 4 race includes Olympic gold medalist Tiki Gelana of Ethiopia and bronze medalist Tatyana Arkhipova of Russia and reigning world champion Edna Kiplagat of Kenya.
