Koufos agrees to three-year extension with Nuggets |

Fourth-year center Kosta Koufos has agreed to a three-year, $9 million extension with the Nuggets that includes a team option for the final year, a source close to the situation told SI.com.
The 7-footer from Ohio State is averaging 3.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in only 10.3 minutes per game for the Nuggets, but team officials value his size and style down low and opted to stabilize his contract situation now rather than allow him to become a restricted free agent this summer.
It was the second extension of the day for Denver, which secured the services of small forward Danilo Gallinari through 2016 with a four-year, $42 million deal.
