WNBA, ESPN extend TV contract through 2022

NEW YORK (AP) - The WNBA has extended its contract with ESPN through the 2022 season.

The network said Thursday the league had added six years to their broadcasting deal. ESPN has been televising WNBA games since its inaugural season in 1997.

Up to 30 games will be aired yearly on ESPN networks.
