UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Tan White hit a jumper with 0.5 seconds left to lift the Connecticut Sun to an 88-86 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday night.
Tina Charles had 25 points and six rebounds for the Sun (7-15) and Renee Montgomery added 18 points and four assists.
White had 15 points and four rebounds and rookie Kelly Faris made three 3-pointers, finishing with 11 points and seven rebounds in her first start.
Angel McCoughtry scored 33 points on 13-of-27 shooting for Atlanta (11-9), adding eight rebounds and three steals. Armintie Harrington was the only other Atlanta player in double figures, scoring 15 points to go with six rebounds in the Dream's eighth loss in nine games.
Atlanta erased a 15-point, third-quarter deficit to lead 86-83 with over a minute remaining in the game.

PHOENIX (AP) - Candice Dupree scored 16 points in less than three quarters and Phoenix beat Indiana to win its third straight game under interim coach Russ Pennell.
Dupree had 14 in the first half and a jumper during a key third-quarter stretch before sustaining a minor knee injury with 3:28 left in the period. She did not return, but Phoenix (13-11) opened up an 18-point lead in the quarter and coasted from there.
Tamika Catchings had 16 points and eight rebounds for Indiana (11-12), which has lost two of three and played with just nine players due to injuries.
Diana Taurasi moved into fifth place on the WNBA career scoring list Wednesday, finishing with 12 points and 11 assists for the Mercury. Brittney Griner added 14 points and eight rebounds for Phoenix.
