Bryant defeats St. Francis Brooklyn 84-77

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) - Dynami Sparks and Alex Francis combined for 48 points and Frankie Dobbs had a double-double as first-place Bryant earned another Northeast Conference victory, downing St. Francis Brooklyn 84-77 Thursday night.

Sparks scored 25 and Francis 23 for the Bulldogs (16-6, 9-2). Dobbs - coming off a career-best 27 points against Monmouth - scored 12 points and dished a career-high 13 assists. Corey Maynard also had 12 points as Bryant won its third straight and continued its best conference season as a Division I program.

Aleksandar Isailovic hit four 3-pointers and scored 16 points while Ben Mockford drained five treys for 15 points for the Terriers (9-13, 5-6).

St. Francis Brooklyn rebounded from a 2-for-21 3-point showing against St. Francis (Pa.) by hitting 41.9 percent (13 of 31) from deep Thursday.

The Terriers' Jalen Cannon finished with 13 points and nine rebounds, just shy of an 11th double-double on the year.
