MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Memphis coach Josh Pastner says junior guard Antonio Barton has a hairline fracture in his right foot, which will not need surgery but will keep him out for four to six weeks.

Spokesman Lamar Chance confirmed that Barton had X-rays and an MRI exam Monday morning revealing the non-displaced hairline avulsion fracture on his right fifth metatarsal. He hurt his foot Saturday in an 89-76 win at Southern Miss, the Tigers' 14th straight victory, which helped Memphis move into the Top 25 on Monday at No. 22.

The Conference USA tournament begins March 13 in Tulsa, so Barton could be back in time for the postseason. He averages 6.2 points per game.

Memphis hosts Central Florida on Wednesday night.

The Commercial Appeal first reported the extent of the injury.
